How to Enable Announcement Nudge in TraceNudges#
The Announcement notification is a versatile tool perfect for sharing important updates, promoting discounts, welcoming new visitors, or highlighting special offers like Black Friday deals. It grabs your visitors' attention and directs them to your most important content.Step 1: Create a New Announcement Notification#

Log in to your TraceNudges Dashboard.

Go to the Announcements tab under the Nudges Library.

Locate the Announcement card and click + Add.
Step 2: Select a Design Template#
Choose a design style that fits your message. You can customize the colors, icons, and layout in the next steps to perfectly match your website's branding.
Click Continue when you are ready.
Step 3: Customize the Notification Layout#
Edit the notification content based on the selected layout. If no customization is done, the default layout (showing a message like "🔥 Don't miss out! Your welcome offer (10% off) ends soon" with a "Shop now!" button) will be applied automatically.
Step 4: Add Website URL#

Enter a Nudge Name (e.g., "Welcome 10% Off" or "Black Friday Promo") for your internal reference.

Enter the Target Websites URL where you want the notification to appear. You can add:
Multiple website URLs to broadcast your announcement across sites
Step 5: Save and Customize#
Click Create & Configure to save your notification. This opens the advanced customization settings.
Design & Content Customization#
You can modify the notification text and format anytime by navigating to: Configuration → Design → Text Editor.
Here, you can:Edit Message: Change the headline and description to fit your campaign (e.g., "New Feature Alert!" or "Free Shipping on Orders Over $50").
Call to Action: Update the button text (e.g., "Learn More", "Claim Offer", "Download Now").
Appearance: Adjust background colors, text fonts, and swap out the default image/icon for something custom (like a smiley face or a product image).
Click Action Settings#
You can define what happens when a visitor clicks the notification or the call-to-action button:Redirect them to a specific landing page, product page, or blog post.
Open a custom URL (like a file download link).
Disable the click action if the announcement is purely informational.
Notification Controls#
Additional options include:Enable or disable the Verified label.
Show or hide the Close (X) icon so users can dismiss the announcement after reading it.
Control the clickable behavior of the notification.
Data & Timing Settings#
TraceNudges allows you to fine-tune when these notifications appear:Timing: Set an initial delay time so the announcement appears after the user has been on the page for a few seconds.
Duration: Control how long the notification stays visible on the screen.
Frequency: Skip notifications already seen by visitors so you don't overwhelm returning users with the same welcome message.
Display Rules#
Use the Display tab to control exactly where the notifications appear. You can choose to show them globally across your site, or restrict them to specific pages (like showing a "Free Plan" announcement only on your Pricing page).
Step 6: Finish Setup#
After completing all of your customizations, click Finish to complete the setup process.
Step 7: Activate Announcement Notification#
Click Yes, Turn It ON. Your Announcement notification will now start displaying to your website visitors based on your settings.
