With a massive portion of web traffic coming from smartphones, it is essential that your social proof looks great on smaller screens. The Display In Mobile settings allow you to customize exactly how (and if) your notifications appear to mobile visitors, ensuring they don't interfere with their browsing experience.Understanding the Settings#
Located under the Display Rules tab, this section gives you device-specific control over your nudges.1. Enable Mobile Display (Toggle)#
This toggle allows you to turn the notification ON or OFF specifically for mobile devices, without affecting what desktop users see.Turned ON (Purple): The nudge will appear on both mobile and desktop devices.
Turned OFF (Gray): The nudge will only appear to users on desktop computers or tablets.
Use Case: If you have a large, highly detailed announcement or a complex timer that takes up too much screen real estate on a tiny phone screen, you can simply toggle this off to keep your mobile site clean.
2. Animation#
This dropdown controls the visual entrance of the notification on mobile devices. How it works: You can choose how the nudge appears, such as a subtle Fade in (as shown in the image), or sliding in from the edge of the screen.
Best Practice: Choose an animation that feels smooth and isn't overly distracting. "Fade" or a simple "Slide" are usually the most user-friendly.
3. Position#
This dictates where the notification will dock on the mobile screen.Options: Typically, you can choose between Top and Bottom.
Recommendation: Bottom is almost always the best choice for mobile devices. Placing it at the top can accidentally block your website's main navigation menu or the user's browser controls, which frustrates visitors.
Always remember to click the purple Update button at the bottom of this section to save your mobile configurations.
💡 Pro Tip for Mobile Nudges#
Test your website on your actual smartphone after setting up a new nudge. Make sure the notification doesn't overlap with crucial elements like your "Add to Cart" buttons, live chat widgets, or cookie consent banners! Modified at 2026-02-17 17:13:20
