PayPal Integration with TraceNudges

This guide will walk you through:

Capturing Payment Activities: Connect PayPal with TraceNudges using a webhook to fetch real-time transaction and payment data.

Add Webhook Integration to Connect PayPal

Step 1: Get the Webhook URL from TraceNudges

Go to TraceNudges > Integrations.

Find PayPal and click the Integrate button.

Enter a Connection Name (e.g., "PayPal Sales").

Click on the Create button.

Click on the Copy button to copy your unique Webhook URL.

Step 2: Configure Webhook in PayPal

Login with your PayPal Developer Account,

Click on Login to Dashboard and enter your credentials.

Navigate to My Apps & Credentials.

Ensure you are on the Live tab.

Option A: If you already have an existing App

Click on your App Name.

Copy the API Key and Secret Key and paste them into the TraceNudges PayPal Integration popup if prompted.

Scroll down and click Add Webhook.

Option B: If you don't have an App yet

Navigate to the NVP/SOAP API apps section.

Click the Manage Webhooks button.

Click Add Webhook.

Step 3: Finish Webhook Configuration

Paste the TraceNudges Webhook URL into the URL field.

From the list of events, select Checkout Order approved.

Click Save.

Step 4: Verify and Launch

Perform a test transaction or wait for a live order.

Visit the TraceNudges Dashboard > Data Log page to verify that the data is appearing with "PayPal" as the source.

Note: Ensure you select this integration as the data source for your nudges (Go to Customize Nudge > Data Source > Select this PayPal integration).

Important: After making changes, check your website in a private/incognito browser to ensure the nudges are displaying correctly.
