Insightly CRM Integration with TraceNudges

This guide will walk you through the simple 3-step process to transform your Insightly CRM data into real-time social proof notifications on your website.

1. Install TraceNudges Pixel Code

Before capturing data, you must ensure the TraceNudges pixel is installed on the website where you want the notifications to appear.

Step 1: Get your TraceNudges Pixel Code

Navigate to the Install Pixel page.

Copy your unique Pixel Code.

Step 2: Add the Pixel Code to Your Website

Paste the code into the <head> section of your website or use a tag manager (like Google Tag Manager).

Save and publish your website changes.

Step 3: Verify Installation

Go back to the TraceNudges Pixel page.

Click Verify Pixel Installation. You should see a "Pixel Active" success message.

2. Connect Insightly CRM with TraceNudges

TraceNudges uses a Webhook/API connection to pull real-time lead and customer data from Insightly.

Step 1: Get the Webhook URL from TraceNudges

Go to TraceNudges > Integrations.

Search for Insightly and click the Integrate button.

Enter a Connection Name (e.g., "Insightly Main CRM").

Click Create and then click the Copy button to copy your unique Webhook URL.

Step 2: Configure the Webhook in Insightly

Go to System Settings > Workflow Automation.

Create a New Workflow Rule (e.g., Triggered when a "New Lead" is created).

For the Action, select Webhooks.

Paste the TraceNudges Webhook URL into the URL field.

Set the Method to POST and ensure the data sent includes fields like First Name, Last Name, and Email.

3. Go Live and Show Nudges

Step 1: Map your Data Source

In TraceNudges, go to the Notifications list.

Click on the notification you want to use (e.g., "Recent Lead" nudge).

Navigate to the Data-Source tab.

Select the Insightly Integration you just created.

Step 2: Test and Launch

Create a test lead in Insightly.

Visit the TraceNudges Dashboard > Data Log to confirm the data arrived.

Your notification will now automatically appear on your site whenever a new action occurs in Insightly!

Important: After making changes, check your website in a private/incognito browser to avoid cache issues and see the nudges live.
