The Social Media Followers notification provides a consolidated summary of your follower counts across multiple platforms (like Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn). This is an excellent way to showcase your total brand reach and build massive social proof at a glance.1.
Log in to your TraceNudges Dashboard.

Go to the Social Media & Video tab under the Nudges Library.

Locate the Social Media Followers card and click + Add.
Step 2: Select a Design Template#
Choose a design style that matches your website's branding. You can change or customize the design later if needed.
Click Continue when you are ready.
Step 3: Customize the Notification Layout#
Edit the notification content based on the selected layout. If no customization is done, the default layout (showing a stacked list of platforms with their respective icons, colors, and follower/like counts) will be applied automatically.
Step 4: Add Website URL#

Enter a Nudge Name (e.g., "Total Social Reach") for your internal reference.

Enter the Target Websites URL where you want the notification to appear. You can add:
Multiple website URLs to display your follower counts across sites
Step 5: Save and Customize#
Click Create & Configure to save your notification. This opens advanced customization settings.
Design & Content Customization#
You can modify notification text and format anytime by navigating to: Configuration → Design → Text Editor.
Here, you can:Edit platforms and counts: Update the numbers for your Facebook Likes, X Followers, Instagram Followers, and LinkedIn Followers.
Customize appearance: Adjust the background colors for each specific social media block to match the platform's brand colors or your own website's theme.
Toggle platforms: Hide or remove platforms you do not use.
Click Action Settings#
You can define what happens when a visitor clicks on the different social blocks within the notification:Redirect visitors to your respective profiles on each platform so they can follow you.
Open a custom URL (like a Linktree or social hub page).
Disable click action if not required.
Notification Controls#
Additional options include:Enable or disable the Verified label.
Show or hide the Close (X) icon so users can dismiss the widget.
Control clickable behavior of the notification.
Data & Timing Settings#
TraceNudges allows you to fine-tune when notifications appear:Set an initial delay time before the notification appears on the screen.
Control visibility duration (how long the widget stays visible) and lapse time.
Skip notifications already seen by visitors.
Display Rules#
Use the Display tab to control where notifications appear. You can choose to show notifications globally or restrict them to specific pages only (such as your homepage footer or "Contact Us" page).
Step 6: Finish Setup#
After completing all customization, click Finish to complete the setup.
Click Yes, Turn It ON. Your Social Media Followers notification will now start showing your combined social reach based on your settings.
