How to Enable YouTube Video Nudge in TraceNudges#
The YouTube Video notification allows you to promote your YouTube channel or a specific video directly on your website. By displaying impressive stats like views, likes, and comments along with a thumbnail, you can drive traffic to your video content and increase subscriber growth.Step 1: Create a New YouTube Video Notification#

Log in to your TraceNudges Dashboard.

Go to the Social Media & Video tab under the Nudges Library.
3.
Locate the YouTube Video card and click + Add.
Step 2: Select a Design Template#
Choose a design style that matches your website's branding. You can customize the colors and layout in the next steps.
Click Continue when you are ready.
Step 3: Customize the Notification Layout#
Edit the content to display the specific video or channel stats you want. The default layout typically shows:A clear call-to-action (e.g., "Join the Tracenudges YouTube Channel Today!").
Social proof stats like Views, Likes, and Comments.
Step 4: Add Website URL#

Enter a Nudge Name (e.g., "YouTube Channel Promo") for your internal reference.

Enter the Target Websites URL where you want the notification to appear. You can add:
Multiple website URLs to promote your video across all your sites.
Step 5: Save and Customize#
Click Create & Configure to save your notification. This opens the advanced customization settings.
Design & Content Customization#
You can modify the notification text and format anytime by navigating to: Configuration → Design → Text Editor.
Here, you can:Edit Content: Change the title text and update the view/like counts to match your actual video stats.
Thumbnail: Upload a custom thumbnail or use the default video image.
Appearance: Adjust background colors, text fonts, and the play button style.
Click Action Settings#
You can define what happens when a visitor clicks the notification:Redirect: Send them directly to the specific YouTube video or your channel subscription page.
Open URL: Open a custom link.
Disable: Turn off click actions if you just want to display the stats.
Notification Controls#
Additional options include:Enable or disable the Verified label.
Show or hide the Close (X) icon so users can dismiss the popup.
Control the clickable behavior of the notification.
Data & Timing Settings#
TraceNudges allows you to fine-tune when these notifications appear:Timing: Set an initial delay (e.g., wait 15 seconds before showing) to avoid interrupting the user immediately.
Duration: Control how long the notification stays visible on the screen.
Frequency: Set how often the notification reappears for the same visitor.
Display Rules#
Use the Display tab to control exactly where the notifications appear. You can choose to show them globally across your site, or restrict them to specific pages (like your blog or tutorial sections).
Step 6: Finish Setup#
After completing all of your customizations, click Finish to complete the setup process.
Step 7: Activate YouTube Video Notification#
Click Yes, Turn It ON. Your YouTube Video notification will now start appearing on your website to drive video engagement.
