Understanding Rotation Configuration#
The Rotation Configuration setting allows you to automatically cycle through multiple active nudges on your website. This is essential for preventing notification fatigue and ensuring your visitors are exposed to various types of social proof, such as sales counts, recent leads, and reviews, in a single session.1.
Enable Automatic Rotation: Check the Enable Automatic Rotation box to allow TraceNudges to automatically cycle through your notifications. When this is disabled, only one notification may be shown persistently.
2.
Set Display Threshold: Enter a numerical value in the Display Threshold field. This number determines how many times a single notification will be shown before the system automatically rotates to the next available nudge in your library.
Example: Setting the threshold to "1" (as seen in the image) means the system will switch to a different notification after every single display.
Why Use Automatic Rotation?#
1. Showcasing Variety#
If you have multiple types of social proof—such as a "Recent Sales" nudge and a "YouTube Video" promo—rotation ensures that a visitor who stays on your page for several minutes sees both.2. Preventing Repetition#
By setting a low threshold, you ensure the user experience remains dynamic. Visitors are more likely to notice and engage with fresh information than a static notification they have already seen multiple times.3. Comprehensive Social Proof#
Rotation allows you to build a more complete picture of your brand's popularity. You can move from showing raw numbers (Sales Count) to individual success stories (Reviews) seamlessly.
💡 Pro Tip#
Combine Rotation with the Skip Seen Data feature. This ensures that as the system cycles through your different nudges, it also avoids repeating specific individual records (like the same customer's purchase) within those nudges.Modified at 2026-02-17 17:31:55
